Interview with Lucille Flint

In February, the originator of Grace formulas, Lucille Flint, was guest speaker at the 'Nature's Secret Revealed' Seminars held in Australia and New Zealand.

Lucille spoke with Professional Marketing Magazine.


CW: What was your original philosophy behind the Grace formulas?

LF: My philosophy was simply that the product was honest, meaning that I wanted the consumer to know every natural organic and botanical ingredient in each product. It was also important to me that each product would give the results it was advertised or sold to do.

CW: What makes our Grace formulas so unique?

LF: By using natural botanical ingredients which are carefully processed to retain the full-spectrum constituents of the original plant, then mixing these ingredients together in carefully measured components, causes a synergistic action which then creates maximum and superior benefits to the individual using the finished product. For instance, our organically grown Aloe Vera is filleted and cold-processed to retain the full activity and benefits of the plant, which has over 150 constituents. Many are in micro units units which synergistically give enhanced benefits to all Grace products. This active Aloe Vera has naturally occurring alpha and beta hydroxy acids, plus several other beneficial acid; a vast array of vitamins and minerals; enzymes and bio-salts; cell building amino acids; naturally occurring anti-oxidants; oxygen bearing molecules which carry life-giving oxygen to each cell; plus too many other constituents to speak about in this interview.

CW: What about the vitamins in the Grace formulas?

LF: Included in the formulas are significant amounts of natural vitamins such a vitamin A from Reticol Palmitate, which has been proven to penetrate the skin. There is substantial data to prove its success in battling wrinkles. This vitamin A is balanced with vitamin D3, which is the only form of vitamin D that is assimilable by the body. A balance of vitamin D is required to receive the maximum benefits of vitamin A. Formulas include a complete spectrum of vitamin B derived from cold-pressed rice bran oil which contains the full spectrum of vitamin B's with the exception of B12. We receive the vital micro units of B12 aquired from the active Aloe Vera.

Vitamin B's are a critical component in Grace formulas to help in successful rebuilding healthy skin tissue. It is especially necessary and beneficial to those who have eczema, skin that turns red easily, rosacea, dermatitis and other types of skin rashes.

Vitamins C and E, are being heralded as the great new wonder ingredients for anti-aging and anti-oxidant vitamins. Grace products have always contained these two ingredients in natural form. Not only do we use vitamin C, but we use the full spectrum of vitamin E, which includes the alpha, beta, delta and gama. Tocopherols proven to be the most beneficial. Natural vitamin E (d-tocopherols) is the inkly type with skin penetrating qualities.

CW: Currently, there is a lot of discussion regarding essential oils in cosmetic products.

LF: That's true. Grace products have always contained various herbs and floral extracts, as well as floral and herbal essential oils, all processed under exacting methods so they retain the full spectrum of constituents which can include various anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic qualities. They can also deliver superior and maximum benefits as a humectant, some having soothing properties, others having stimulating benefits, cellular function rejuvenating, tissue rejuvenating and immune stimulation.

CW: So why use Grace?
